Can Libertarian provide some some Yorkshire magic for The Derby?

As my first love in racing is the jumps I would be lying if I said I had spent the winter months agonising over the likely winner of The Derby.

Nor have I risen this Derby morning with the same eager anticipation I would for the National or Cheltenham Festival.

Nonetheless I was getting a little giddy at the prospect of Magician landing a post Chester wager of 20/1 until it was decided on Wednesday to save him for another day.

So in search of some other magical result I am turning to Libertarian to complete a famous Yorkshire double.

Having witnessed and backed Auroras Encore to become the first National winner trained in God’s Own County who is to say our near 150 year wait for an Epsom trained Derby winner isn’t about to end?

So with 70% heart and 30% head my recommendation for today’s Derby is

Libertarian – 1 pt E/W
