AP McCoy captures the nation’s attention and admiration and rightly so

Just incase there are some serious under-rock-dwellers amongst us some pretty serious history was made yesterday at Towcester, with AP McCoy riding his mammoth 4000th winner. 


There have been some remarkable moments in the great mans career, from the sublime Gold Cup, Grand National, Champion Hurdle, Witchita bloody Lineman, to the frankly ridiculous, see: Family Business at Southwell. And within all the dizzying highs of those moments, there have been some crushing lows, the loss of the likes of would-be superstar Gloria Victis and handicapper to gold cup winner Synchronised are two in particular that come to mind. 


Most people reading this will be well familiar with the ins and outs of Mr McCoys career, and understanding of the significance of the achievement, I don’t need to drum that into peoples skulls. So there is another point I’d like to raise within this, and that is about jump…
