Aintree Day 2

Little joy on day 1. Guitar Pete and Silviano Conti were both horses I backed at Cheltenham but foolishly deserted here. Doctor Harper was another that slipped away. Easy with hindsight!

Onwards and upwards for day 2 which I will be travelling to the course to see. It will be my first visit to the Aintree Festival for nearly 20 years when I used to go every year. I recall wishing Richard Dunwoody good luck the day before he won the National on West Tip.
