Review of Newton Abbot – 10/10/14

Great credit to Newton Abbot for putting on such an appetiser for the National Hunt season proper on the final day of their 2014 season.

Taquin Du Seuil was hopefully in need of the run after moving in to a promising position with a circuit to run. Double Ross will surely be worth following if none the worse for his tumble. The winner Wonderful Charm was pushed along some way out and should be seen to even greater effect over a longer trip.

The closing bumper may well throw up one or two useful types not least the winner Dashing Oscar who is bred to do well at the game.

Barton Rose should be winning again soon over hurdles after this pipe opener.

Great ending opener wasn’t it. Or should that be starting finale? 😀
