Vicente can keep Nicholls in the hunt.

Paul Nicholls needs a couple of big wins if he is to retain his trainers crown and you can be sure his runners will be primed to give their best in the big races remaining. He’s very much put all his faith in Vicente in today’s Scottish Grand National and he looks to have a great chance after running well but without luck at Cheltenham last month.

Needless to say dangers are a plenty with Cause of Causes having an obvious chance.

Berea Boru is improving and from a stable that knows how to win this race and cheek pieces could eke out further progress.

Sue Smith and Danny Cook have had a fine season and whilst Straidnahanna has a bit to find he is well regarded and at 40/1 is worth an each way punt for this canny yard.
